Are you already aware of the news that promises to take Instagram by storm?
Instagram announced this Tuesday (23/06) for Brazilian users the “Reels” feature, a new function of the application. It arrives to replace the “Scenes” feature, which had a very similar operation, but less dynamic. This new feature aims to De Cell Number create short, editable 15-second videos with different possibilities, and can also be posted not only in Stories, but also in the feed, in the Explore tab and in a new category on the user's profile.
This new option arrives on Instagram to compete with the famous TikTok app, which has been very successful lately. It wouldn't be the first time that Instagram brings very similar features from other apps. If you are a Tik Tok user, you will notice a great similarity with Reels.
Offering more possibilities than the already known “Scenes”, Reels will bring options such as multiple cuts, inclusion of audios (in addition to the songs they already had), effects and filters already saved from your Instagram, Ghost option (which marks where you left off in the last video), among other creative alternatives.
With a big difference, Reels enters as a new category on your profile, creating a new tab next to your photos specifically for these videos. If the video is longer, just like on IGTV, they will be previewed in the feed. It is also located in the Explore tab on your Instagram, giving you much more visibility as anyone can see your video and access your profile.
What we can guarantee so far is that Reels mode has arrived to go head to head with TikTok and who knows, perhaps become the phenomenon of the moment.

Instagram: How to use Reels to create videos
Step 1 : open the camera for Stories and select the "Reels" option in the bottom camera bar.
Step 2: As soon as you open the Reels feature, you will see that it offers a side menu with four options - "Audio", "Speed", "Effects" and "Timer".
Step 3: in "Audio", the user can choose any song from the library, just like in Stories. It is also an interesting option for those who want to do voiceovers, challenges, dances, etc.
